Carol Dockery is the owner and designer behind Quilter by Night Designs.

I am the daughter of a Home Economics teacher and I've been sewing, quilting, and crafting my entire life. For 25+ years as a software professional, I squeezed my quilting passion into those few hours after dinner was done and before I collapsed for the night - hence my name, Quilter by Night.  Now with a little more free time on my hands, I've begun to take my designs and turn them into patterns to share. I hope others enjoy them as much as I do!

About My Patterns

  • Patterns are tested by multiple people of varying levels of experience to ensure accuracy.
  • A complete materials list and alternate design views are included on the back cover.
  • Instructions are provided in text with most steps also illustrated with detailed diagrams.
  • Patterns are formatted into a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" stapled booklet format with pull-out pattern sheets.  This convenient format ensures that the instructions stay together and the booklet can easily be placed next to your sewing machine when working on a project.
  • Each pattern is individually packaged in a clear zipper bag with hang hole at the top.
